Dolphins

On our beach walk yesterday, we viewed dolphins cresting on the Gulf of Mexico. This was another treat, actually something that was a complete surprise.  Too quick for a photo. 

They are having an event a the local library next week.  We walked over to check it out.  They are having a couple of local authors discuss and 

answer questions about writing.  Maybe I can get some tips.  This library has an interesting history.  The woman pictured entered a Paul Newman's Own cooking contest with her Gumbo.  She won $50,000 and decided the town needed a library and be-quested the county the dough. Paul kicked in some more and the projected was started.   It's the library that Gumbo built.

Harry's is having a Trivia Contest tonight.  Judy says I am good at this. Between the three of us we should get something right. My talent, not really sure.  If the topics are too far out of my wheelhouse, I won't be too successful.

Went to Apalachicola yesterday afternoon.  It was more "touristy" than I like.  Stuff was too expensive or maybe I am becoming more responsible in my spending.  this is a photo from the dock at the end of town.  But the beer from Oyster City Brewery is still outstanding .
