Crocs and Kayaks

Played Scrabble again yesterday afternoon,  always a glutton for punishment.  This game taxes my brain and concentration.  There are many places to find solutions but strategy seems to be the key.  It is very difficult to locate the correct word placement that will secure the most points.  Still defeated, my score was at least respectable.  This is an old game invented by Alfred Mosher Butts in the thirties originally called Lexiko.  Most kids would run from it, having no lights beeps or abbreviated catchwords.  I think it's good for my diminishing intellect.

Met this guy with an ocean kayak at the beach.  It is a much bigger craft than I am used to seeing, 15 feet long made of fiberglas.  Surprisingly had lots of storage spots in the hull all water tight.  He hailed from St. Louis and bought it in England during a visit for his daughters wedding.  The actual origin is Welsh.  Actually pretty cool.

Spotted this troop of birdies running to and from the waves.  They are some of our constant companions on these morning beach walks.

My children complain about my Crocs footwear.  I realize they are not fashionable.  These rubber shoes are easy to get off an on requiring no hands and the little nubbies on the interior feel good on my feet.  As I've said before, I like things that work, simple, durable and providing small happiness to my tootsies.  And they look outstanding with short white socks and white legs. Katey, this photo is especially for you.

Planning a non event day today with a sandwich from the ladies at Carrabelle Junction, some reading and meetup at Harrys at 5:30

Thats it

all for now

stay safe

(heard you're expecting snow today)
